Ten Hours in San Francisco

...well nine hours and fifty-five minutes, actually. But that wouldn't make for as catchy a title, would it? Anyway, that was the length of my layover in San Francisco the other day. You see, a week or so ago, when I was looking to book my flight back to Hong Kong, I found a great itinerary which sent me via the City by the Bay. It had me flying Virgin America from New Jersey to California and then continuing on Singapore Airlines, direct to Hong Kong! Since Singapore Airlines is generally ranked in the highest echelon of carriers, I jumped at the chance to experience them for a long haul flight. (I've only flown them once before: round trip between Hong Kong in Singapore back in October 2012 when I was preparing to move down there.) My 'Nova friend Alexandra (a.k.a. Zan) and her twin sister Jonna (a.k.a. Jonnaha) grew up outside the city and live in the heart of it now. And it was great to spend my layover with them.

The last (and only) time I was in the city—actually make that the entire state of California—was ten years ago, so it was great to return. Hopefully in the future I'll get the chance to pass through again, perhaps even for a night or two! In the meantime, here are a few photos from the layover.
